Man this week is starting off well. Last year's E3 was a complete bust, but with everyone touting new consoles and launch titles, it seems that everybody is stepping up their game. So here's the stuff that stuck out to me:
First: KINGDOM HEARTS 3!!!!! WOOOOOOOOO! THANK GOD ABOVE SQUARE ENIX STILL HAS SENSE!!! HOLY CRAP!!! I'm a big fan of the franchise, last year's Dream Drop Distance got on my Top 7 of 2012, and Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep holds a tight spot at number eight on my favorite games ever. So yeah, as a fan of the franchise, this has been looooong overdue.
Second: SMASH BROS 4!!!!!! Yes, Yes, Yes, YEEEEES! Not only are we getting our first portable Smash bros game, but an improved roster, nice looking visuals, and updated character models that beat out even Brawl. Now, the cool thing is that we have two newocmers, one is MEGA MAN!!! He was one of the characters I wanted the most to make it into Smash Bros 4, so now I get my wish. And we have the main character from Animal Crossing, a little odd, but still pretty unique. I'm hyped.
Third: Walking Dead: 400 Days: MORE YES!!!!! Walking Dead was my GOTY last year, and it deserved it with it's unique stylized visuals, amazing writing, wonderful characters, interaction, and just an overall experience to be had. The Trailer is supposedly out, but I think Screwattack made a boo-boo, they put up the original one. But either way, we have confirmation on it, sweet.
Fourth: Microsoft Tried: They are, they really, really, are. They announced exclusives, sequels, and have been focusing on nothing BUT games. They haven't so much as breathed about social media, so they learned their lesson. I applaud them for catering to us, but the Xbox One's 500$ price tag is NOT worth it. Sorry, but nice try.
Fifth: TitanFall: Is it just me, or does this look absoluetly amazing? I'm not a huge FPS multiplayer fan, but man, the stuff I've been seeing in this game looks nothing short of raw and concentrated fun. You have guns, mechs, amazing physics, running up walls like you're friggin' Spiderman. This game looks like the mutiplayer FPS extravaganza to end them all, while it is only on the Xbox One, it's still coming to PC later, so I'm all over that.
I'm going to give a larger summary and my scores to the big three as to who has one, but so far this is the biggest stuff that has been announced! Stay tuned!
