This is a show that I've been meaning to start for a while, to give a little variety to my website and my own little slice of the metaphoric Web Of Cinema pie.
Growing up in the late 90s and the early 2000s, a staple of my childhood was catching late-night genre films on cable, be it the creature-features, the 70s zombie-sploitation films, the cult fantasy films of the 80s, the endless brigade of beefy action flicks and Hong Kong wire-fu, and the cheese-tastic sci-fi films that shaped who I am today.
Being that I feel I am one of the last of the cable-generation of nerds, I felt I'd start this series to share my thoughts on the various films and tropes that those lonely late-night cable sessions bestowed upon me.
Now while many of the films I review on here will be bad, I'll more than likely be reviewing some of my childhood favourites as well, this series isn't meant to criticize. I love these cheesy fucking movies, and be them good or bad, they left an indelible impression on a scrawny, bespectacled pasty white boy with messy hair...who later grew up to be me, a scrawny bespectacled white MAN...with a messy fucking mop of hair. Enjoy!
